Future Assist is making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children by supporting The Smith Family. Future Assist sponsors the education of 86 disadvantaged school students across Australia each year through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life sponsorship program. These students receive financial assistance for educational expenses and access to The Smith Family’s learning and mentoring programs so they can create a better future for themselves. Future Assist is committed to the education of disadvantaged young people.
At Future Assist, part of our culture is to give back to the community, and that starts with our partnership with The Smith Family. We offer corporate sponsorship, our employees volunteer, and we have workplace mentoring.
Throughout the entire year, each Future Assist employee will be given the opportunity to volunteer their time to help support the education of disadvantaged children and young people around Australia.
We fund scholarships that assist disadvantaged Australian school children from Kindergarten all the way to 12th grade, in order to help them get the most out of their education, break the cycle of poverty, and create better futures for themselves.
We provide young people studying at TAFE or University with opportunities to learn real life skills, and assist them in exploring their chosen career path while acquiring work experience.
Over the Christmas Season, all employees got involved in a Kid’s Christmas Collection Drive, where we collected and wrapped presents for disadvantaged kids. Employees are encouraged to participate in other fund raising activities such as the Gold Coast Marathon Fundraiser.
Volunteers are the backbone of The Smith Family and without it much of the Smith Families work would not be possible. As such Future Assist employees are encouraged to volunteer their time, energy and skills to support the Smith Families mission. If you have ever considered volunteering you can learn more here
